Who We Are

  • Mederi is a small, women-owned massage practice in Amesbury MA focussed on athletic and post operative recovery, and pain management. Joy Bergner and Susan Hoffman are proud to cultivate a space for healing and wellness for those who seek it.

  • At mederi we pull from a broad foundation in myofascial work, deep tissue, neuromuscular techniques, manual lymphatic drainage and sports massage to fit our clients’ bespoke treatment goals.

    Post-Operative Massage is focused on manual lymphatic drainage, scar work and neuromuscular therapies to optimize recovery and address the compensation and inhibitions resulting from injury.

  • We have a passion for delivering high quality research based treatments to each client we work on. Massage has the capacity to positively impact the muscular, skeletal, nervous, integumentary, lymphatic, and endocrine systems. We consider our clients’ goals and their acute issues in the context of the whole body “bigger picture” when designing their treatment plans.

Joy Bergner LMT CMLDT

Joy specializes in Sports Massage and Deep Tissue. Her approach is research based and focusses on correcting neuromuscular dysfunction. In addition to massage she is a Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist

Susan Hoffman LMT

Susan brings over 30 years of experience to her table. She is trained in the “Benjamin” system of massage which flows from the hips to the whole body, synthesizing lymphatic drainage and other traditional modalities to target tense tissue.
